National Public Radio

The National Public Radio is the American non-profit media structure that serves almost eight hundred public radio stations across the country. Founded in 1970, it only had ninety public stations in the beginning, and just like today it depended on private and public funds to operate. The programs it broadcasts cover cultural shows and news most of the time, and other individual radio stations take over some of the shows to broadcast them further on. The National Public Radio stays high in the listeners’ preferences particularly thanks to shows like the Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

NASCAR Schedule Realignment

August 2008 was the next NASCAR schedule realignment, which would begin for the 2009 season.

Talladega’s Superspeedway, which previously held its even in early fall, would now hold it’s event closer to Halloween, either the last Sunday of October or the first Sunday of November.

Radio City Music Hall

Radio City Music Hall dominates the New York showbiz from the heart of the Rockefeller Center, Manhattan. At the end of the 70s this used to be a major city attraction and a landmark at the same time, but many things have changed ever since although the venue still enjoys popularity. The complex as such was developed during the Depression years when John D. Rockefeller Jr. intended to move the Metropolitan Opera here. The plans were dropped when the stock market fell in 1929. As for the name of the Radio City Music Hall, it was given by and for its initial tenants, the Radio Corporation of America.
